Reggie and Nash begin following the mimic deeper into the jungle. After a little bit, fearing a potential ambush, they decide to head back to the dome to count the slip suits. When they stop the mimic charges and Nash cuts it down, destroying it. Afterwards the trip to the dome is uneventful until they reach the clearing.
While Reggie and Nash are formulating a plan a shot rings out narrowly missing Nash. It seems that Dr. Mentaca has been found and he’s none to stable. After a quick firefight in which both Nash and Dr. Mentaca are incapacitated, Reggie disarms Mentaca and drags Nash back into the dome so he can get into a new suit.
Mentaca appears to have passed out and Reggie and Nash carry him back to the ship to try and treat him in the medbay but Mentaca suffered a heart attack dies. With nothing left to look for they pack up the crew’s personal effects, Ident cards and Dr. Mentaca’s notes and head home.
