While in the laboratory Dr. Hoffman shows Erin and Randy side by side scans of the patients while further explaining the process. Erin notices that when the probe hits the spot Dr. Hoffman is interested in the patients “lock up” and stare into the corner of the room as if something is there. When the probe is moved away they look confused.
Amanda Freidman, the young woman who killed herself, had received five treatments over the course of a week. The next patient Mr. Morton has currently received 3 treatments and Ms. Yang had received a single treatment and removed herself from the program. With their interview completed Erin and Randy meet up with Jack for lunch and to go over what they know so far.
