With the creature now vanquished Jack and Erin take stock of their situation. As they’re taking footage of the creature with the go-pro Erin notices what looks like a cave a little further on up the hill but before investigating they call Randy to fill him in. Upon learning of their success Randy does about what you’d expect and throws up all over the inside of the truck.
In his fragile state he decides the best course of action is to try and Find Erin and Jack in the woods and takes off at a dead run. After about 45 minutes of a not so very fun game of Marco Polo the group is reunited. Jack then goes to investigate the cave and finds the monsters lair.
Not content with just the video of the monster the guys drag the body back to the bar for safekeeping. Then the planning begins. They decide to leave the body and head back to Erin’s place taking the head with them. With the head safely ensconced in the freezer Erin and Randy get cleaned up and back up the go-pro. To calm their nerves and celebrate their success much whiskey is consumed while watching Evil Dead 2. Good times…..
The morning starts off with some delicious Birds Coffee. Randy stays at the house to edit video and post up the next installment while Jack and Erin head back out to the abandoned bar. They’re able to get some better pictures and do a rudimentary examination of the body.
A few days later Randy gets a postcard with an address and a simple statement:
And if thou gaze long into the abyss, the abyss will also gaze into thee……
