With the creature, now dubbed the Doamna, vanquished the guys try and get back to some level or normalcy. Jack bugs out and heads up to Alaska on a long run, Randy watches a lot of movies and reads a lot of comics, when he’s not working on releasing Ghostfacer videos and Erin gets back to work.
There’s a news blurb about the abandoned bar being burned down but no mention was made of a body, causing some slight consternation. Randy follows up with the postcard and a quick google search returns a route to the destination but doesn’t show a street view. Erin exchanges emails with the professor of Indian studies in Washington and finds out that they would need to head out there to investigate the documents in person due to their fragile nature. He does agree to look at a few things and contact them if something turns up.
Since the postcard seems to be the more pressing concern the guys come up with a plan. Jack buys a drone so they can scope out the address from a distance. Also it’s a drone so that’s pretty cool. They pack the drone and the go pros and set out to investigate. As they get closer, the gps still shows the route but the map is just grayed out, like the roads don’t exist.
About 5 miles out they can see a small rural town that looks like it’s the same as it was in the 1940’s or 50’s but it’s not indicated on the map. Deciding that’s close enough they break out the drone and to get a closer look. Unfortunately the drone won’t connect with the controller. It’s like the wi fi is blocked and what’s more no one has a cell signal. Erin stats ranting about a podcast he listened to and cursed towns that don’t exist so they decide to err on the side of caution and head back to town to investigate a little more.
Somewhere about the halfway point back towards home, they notice that their phones are working again. Continuing on, they go to the county seat to look at the master plan for the area and some of the old maps. The clerk at the office tells them that the address doesn’t exist anywhere in the database sending Erin off on another rant.
