Filippo “The Great” Pacini – Shawn
Manny Velazquez – Jesse
Javier Castilllo – John
GM – Tod
Filippo is sitting in his personal office when Dalase comes in to give the morning reports. On the wall is a string map connecting people and places in town, and a red jester’s outfit hanging from a hook. A photo on the wall shows someone wearing the jester outfit, spotted under mysterious circumstances within the last few days. His surveillance racket has provided the expected money, but unfortunately he has totally forgotten to meet with Mister Big to broker a transfer of weapons destined for Mexico. He fears there may be repercussions. Dalase is concerned for his mental health, and Filippo gives him permission to take over the business for a little while. He then gets on the phone to patch things over with Mister Big, promising to introduce the smuggler to Cisco
Having discovered that Javier is not at his house and not answering his phone, Manny goes to the theater to see if Filippo knows what’s happened to him. Filippo makes some calls and determines that Javier is in custody at the local jail. Filippo contacts a lawyer who recently left his card at the theater – Morris Leasher is his name – and promises lifetime free admission to the theater in exchange for his help getting Javier out of jail. Manny notes Filippo’s distraught condition and begins to worry about his sanity.
Javier questions Officer Mack, trying to figure out what’s going on. Mack pulls over and threatens Javier by holding a gun to his head. “This is not standard police protocol,” he say, “It is personal protocol, because you are stepping on the toes of Abel Cisco. Now you’re gonna be booked and held, and it’s gonna look just like a normal arrest, and I don’t want any games outta you.” Javier shuts up, and allows himself to be processed. He ends the scene in a holding cell, a small barred window above.
