Descending into the broken wreckage of Harstack’s cruiser the party is greeted by the soft red glow of the emergency lights. It’s slow going as they make their way through the labyrinthine passages looking in vain for the bridge. After a short time Jarnan recognizes that they are slowly descending, moving closer to the wrecked part of the ship and is able to steer everyone in the right direction.
Now moving in the right direction, the hallways get a little clearer and Kayne gets a better sense of the layout of the ship. A few people notice the sound of heavy, awkward footsteps. Moving into what appears to be a mess hall the source of the noise is discovered. Four humanoid creatures, taller then men with long fingers ending in claws and gaping mouths filled with fangs.
With his newly hemmed cloak, Venari acquits himself quite admirably and the party easily dispatches the creatures. On a closer inspection of the bodies, Emmaus determines that they appear to be tainted by the warp and most likely they were part of the crew. Taking no chances Jarnan burns the bodies, in the name of the Emperor of course.
As they continue to move towards the bridge the sound of movement echoes down various halls and behind closed doors. Assuming the worst the party tries to be as stealth as possible avoiding many small skirmishes. When they approach the bridge the doors are closed and all appears to be silent. Pulling the doors open they find a large humanoid form in the captains chair flanked by two scaly dog-like creatures.
