“As per our ESRB Mature rating STONE has drug references, use of alcohol and tobacco, sexual themes, crude humor along with strong language. There is no nudity, graphic violence or sex scenes. STONE is a Mature game for players that like alternative stories usually seen in cinema, tv, and literature.”

The soundtrack is nothing to laugh at.
It’s a well-rounded collection of artists that this uninformed reviewer has never heard before.  All contributing artists are listed plainly, so a simple Google search unearths any earworms that may have crawled inside.  You might find the drum machine entertaining, too!

Speaking of cinema, an in-game movie theater that allows the player to watch a number of celluloid classics at their leisure is greatly appreciated.  It would also appear that this game has received a grant from Film Victoria of Australia.  The lack of friction and controversy (*as far as I’m aware) shows a great deal just how far things have come from the days of “Tongues Untied.”

This game is a departure for me from some genres – I enjoyed being able to sit back and savor the tale as it continued to unfold – you know what they say about secrets.

The ones best kept are the ones you manage to keep, even from yourself.

That being said, it is with humble appreciation that I ask you to please join us on Thursday, January 31 at 11 am Central as I speak with Greg Louden of Convict Games regarding STONE.
